Blogging Decisions-My blogs and their futures

Well, this is something I have been debating and contemplating for a long time. My blogs and their futures.

I am not getting the visits I used to when I had begun this odyssey.  It takes lots of time to write and upload pics and provide links.  It can be exhausting.  I simply cannot justify the time it takes to work on this blog when it is not getting read.  SO, I have made the decision to wrap up what I want to add on here by Dec. 31, 2016 and then I will let it go semi-dormant.  I have already removed all Amazon affiliate links (except in the tab sections above-still need to do that), and decluttered the posts.

I do want to finish the continent boxes series, add a post about how to install (or for us reinstall) a shower board white board in the classroom, , get the castle post completed, and maybe add a couple more odds and ends.  After that-I doubt I will post much at all.  I will however keep this up and available to you. I will simply post when there is something really cool to share.

I have moved over to the YouTube venue for chatting about homeschooling, planning, life updates and more.  So if you want to see what is currently happening around here-please go to my channel and subscribe.

I do want to thank all of you who have stopped by, followed and commented.  I truly enjoyed being able to share our experiences with you-and getting to know many of you through this blogging experience.  In the future, after I am done with homeschooling-I may very well start one new blog about something?  Not sure yet, but if I do I will def. be sure to let you all know.

So there you have it-I finally made a decision regarding this.  It's been a long time in coming and I am feeling a big relief off my shoulders. Whew.

Books Looks by Lisa said...

Hi Sheri,
I just found your blog today and wanted to say how much I enjoyed looking at your lapbooking ideas. I, too, have a blog and understand the time it takes to keep it going. Thank you for sharing all of your resources! If you happen to have anything on Eastern Europe I would be grateful if you can point me in that direction.

Blessings!
Lisa

Thanks so much Lisa. What are you looking for in regards to the E. Europe area? Book lists? Lapbook pages? I did do SL 5 last year or so that covers some of E. Europe but right now we are into the Medieval ages and doing Europe that I have a video on (I think) LOL...but ya, let me know what you are looking for b/cuz maybe I do have some links/lists/projects/etc. to help ya out. :)

Howdy Sherri! I just found you today via YouTube. (Spelling Power video) It was clear and concise thus VERY helpful. I have a struggling learner and need all the help I can get. I look forward to perusing your blog entries. Praying God's favor on your next season. 😄

Why thanks PoohTebby. Glad that SP review helped. I am actually really liking that program and my son is too-which is huge! LOL Thanks for the prayers too. Not sure where we're heading but I think the time has come to let these puppies rest. But def. going to continue with YouTube. Blessings to you and yours. :)

Hi Sheri, I just found your blog at the beginning of the school year but ran across your videos on lap booking this summer and have been hooked ever since. My daughter and I created our first lap book on Sloths this summer and we really enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot along the way. I have enjoyed your post and videos. Like you I love the library and have checked out several of your book recommendations. I have learned a lot from your videos. I look forward to watching more of them. By the way you should show Chloe more.

Lonnie I am so happy you were able to start lapbooking! It is a unique way to learn and def. a fav around here. We've been doing it for years and I think it really helps the children retain a lot more info. :) So glad to be a help to you.

As for Crabby Cat-she is fearful of the outdoors-so she doesn't like it out there! Plus, it seems the only place to escape her mournful cries. Since it's getting colder, I will have to start filming indoors so she may show up a tad more. It's been kinda nutty about here so I simply haven't had the energy to endure her whilst trying to video. LOLOLOL.....but soon.

So glad you found us here and on YT! Thanks for commenting and watching!
