CM: Notebooking

Here is an area that is relatively easy to start implementing into your studies-notebooking. You can do one page to a whole booklet.  There are several sources for free notebook pages that you can find on the web, so don't be afraid to do a search for them.  Here are some examples of some of the pages/books we have done.

What you will need:

The best way to house the pages you will create is a 3-ring binder loaded with the clear page protectors and either blank or lined pages and any printed pages you download from various sites. I have also used blank books, composition books and have even made books from card stock and paper. You can add diagrams, copywork, drawings, research info, notebook pages and more.  This creates a great keepsake for looking back over to show you just how much you really did accomplish during the year! This is also a fantastic way to 'prove' you have been educating your child(ren) if you live in a state that requires samples of their work.

There are also many companies that offer notebooking/lapbook student workbooks to compliment your curriculum.  An example is Apologia's Exploring Creation series.  We have been using those this year and really, really like them.  Saves on printing and all the goodies are right there, ready to go.
